1d. Implement strategies for initiating and sustaining technology innovations and manage the change process in schools and classrooms.

One of my underlying goals as a teacher is for my students to have a growth mindset in my classroom (which will hopefully transfer to their lives beyond my classroom). I want them to take risks, learn from mistakes, and work collaboratively throughout this process of growing as learners and people.  Implementing technology into our classroom and transforming our learning environments into 21st century classrooms is a big shift from past educational practices. By design, technology always has the potential to fail us or make things more complicated. But technology also has the power to transform classrooms into global learning environments, engage students in ways that allow them to more deeply grasp the standards, and ultimately prepares our students to be lifelong contributors to the digital world that will be their future.  I wrote blog posts on Embracing Imperfection, Providing Feedback, and Preparing Our Students to Work Collaboratively that provide greater detail into my understandings and research on this standard.
