2a. Coach teachers in and model design and implementation of technology-enhanced learning experiences addressing content standards and student technology standards.
When I first began this program I could not exactly articulate what my definition of a educational coach was and what role(s) a technology coach might provide in educational settings. I had my ideas and opinions, but over the course of these last two years my understandings of the role of a coach and the best practices for such a role have shifted. My two biggest shifts have been that a coach is a partner rather than an expert and that adult learners have different needs than those of our students.
I have done a couple large projects around coaching teachers in the design and implementation of technology-enhanced learning experiences as well as looked into professional development that meets the needs of 21st century educators as they are creating technology-rich learning experiences for their students.
