Technology can make differentiation and providing student choice much easier for the teacher and more accessible for the student.  Using tools such as animation, infographics, and digital dictionaries allow students to create products that they can adjust based on their “readiness, learning style, interest, and personal goals.”

Backward Design allows the teacher to be more thoughtful and intentional when planning learning experiences. When developing technology-rich learning environments it is crucial that the use of technology is purposeful and is focused on student learning.
