Digital citizenship education, including an adopted scope and sequence, should begin in early elementary school. This can begin as simple as the teacher modeling their own proper use of digital information and technology. In my blog post, Digital Citizenship for Elementary Students, I talk about the need for schools to have a curriculum for digital citizenship as well as why it is important for us to be teaching these skills when the stakes are low for our students.
